Kaarel is the strategic thinker and visionary behind Veriff. He keeps Veriff’s growing team one step ahead of fraud and competition in the dynamic world of online identification. With plenty of energy and enthusiasm, he encourages the Veriff team to stand for honesty in the digital world. In 2023, he was honoured in the EU Forbes 30 Under 30, in 2020 he was named the EY Entrepreneur of the Year in Estonia and Nordic Business Report has named him one of the 25 most influential young entrepreneurs in Northern Europe.

Jeffrey leads Veriff's operational strategy. He brings 25+ years of leadership experience at technology companies in driving profitable growth and expanding product portfolio. Before Veriff, he was COO at DigitalOcean, a publicly traded cloud computing platform provider, where he built and led a global team of 1,100 – scaling and maturing the business from $180M of revenue to $800M while simultaneously turning around the free cash flow of the company. Before DigitalOcean, he held similar leadership roles at DigitalGlobe (Satellite and Earth Observation) and Trimble (GPS Technologies). 

Hubert leads the Product & Engineering division at Veriff, ensuring that the company’s product and engineering strategy supports its growth and innovation. He has nearly two decades of experience with industry titans such as Amazon, Marks and Spencer, and Sky, where he led significant expansion in their respective engineering divisions while introducing new initiatives and refining existing ones. Before joining Veriff, he was Typeform’s first-ever VP of Engineering, overseeing a streamlined expansion of the company’s engineering team, growing its global presence, and introducing a range of new functions while reducing expenses.

John leads Veriff's finance organization. He brings 15+ years of diverse experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), operations, corporate development, SEC reporting, and public accounting, with a focus on scaling technology companies financially and operationally. Before Veriff, John worked for DigitalOcean, a publicly traded cloud computing platform, as Head of Finance and Operations for its AI/ML business and as a member of the FP&A team. Prior to DigitalOcean, he held finance roles at Trimble, DigitalGlobe, and Ernst & Young.

Gina leads Veriff's global marketing strategies, driving brand growth and enhancing customer engagement. Her extensive background includes leadership roles at Aware, Inc., Trelleborg, and Xylem, where she honed her expertise in aligning marketing initiatives with business objectives, streamlining operations, and elevating brand visibility. Gina's proficiency spans digital marketing, media relations, and demand generation, consistently delivering impactful results that fuel business growth.

Orlando oversees Sales and Customer Success at Veriff. He brings a solid track record in carving out new markets and steering GTM approaches for innovative tech ventures. Before his role at Veriff, Orlando held the position of VP of Sales at Shortcut and led commercial teams across EMEA and the Americas at Dropbox. Passionate about collaborating with early-stage tech founders, Orlando serves as a Mentor at Endeavor - a leading global community for high-impact entrepreneurs - and offers his expertise as an advisor to various tech startups.

Vice President of Sales and Customer Success

Luke leads Business Operations at Veriff, ensuring that we successfully execute our business strategy and that we move forward as One Veriff. His background lies within the People space, having led Talent Acquisition at multiple scale-ups, including WeWork and Dojo. Following this, he led the People Division at Veriff, with a core focus on enabling decision-making at all levels of the organisation and building a culture of shared success, celebration and learning.

Jules Maltz joined IVP in August 2008 and has over 15 years of venture capital and startup experience. He focuses on later-stage venture investments in rapidly-growing software and Internet companies. Jules was recognized by Forbes Magazine as one of the top 100 venture capitalists in the world by his inclusion in the 2020, 2019, and 2018 Midas Lists. Jules led IVP’s investments in Buddy Media, Checkr, Dropbox, Eightfold, G2, Grammarly, Hims & Hers, Hopin, Indiegogo, MuleSoft, NerdWallet, Nextdoor, Oportun, RetailMeNot, Slack, SteelBrick, Tala, Wise, TuneIn, Zendesk, and Zenefits. Jules currently serves as a Board Director or Board Observer for Eightfold, G2, Grammarly, Hims & Hers, Hopin, Indiegogo, Tala, and Wise.

Matt Weigand joined Accel in 2013 and focuses on enterprise software and security businesses. Matt represents Accel on the Board of Veriff, Snyk, and Cognite and is actively involved with Accel’s investments in Cornershop, G2Crowd, MessageBird, Xero, and GoFundMe. Prior to joining Accel, Matt worked with William Blair’s technology investment banking group.

Simon Levene is a co-founder and partner of Mosaic Ventures, a London-based venture capital fund focused on early stage investing. Previously Simon was a partner at Accel, and served as VP Corp Dev at Yahoo, and Dir Corp Dev at Excite@Home and its predecessor, @Home. His recent Series A investments include Nexar, Clue, Blockstream, and Number Four; and previously Etsy, Fotolia, Squarespace, Shapeways, ResearchGate, and MyHeritage.

Ott Kaukver is a technology leader with a deep background in scaling global products. As the former Chief Technology Officer of Twilio and Checkout.com, and an early engineering leader at Skype, Kaukver brings extensive experience in building robust engineering cultures and driving disruptive innovation within high-growth environments. Kaukver has also served as an advisor and investor for Wise and Pipedrive, supporting their growth, and has also been Executive in Residence at Bessemer Venture Partners.
